Development Advisory Board
The Development Advisory Board is a group of individuals interested in supporting the development of WCDP as an organization, including providing assistance with grant writing, Board of Director development and other key aspects of the general administration of WCDP.

Kristin Lobron
Kristin Lobron is an experienced federal manager and writer of grants and contracts, with particular expertise in USAID and Department of Education bids. Ms. Lobron brings over fifteen years of experience in developing technical approaches to promote economic growth in developing and emerging economies. Kristin Lobron has researched, studied and worked throughout Africa for fifteen years. Kristin Lobron has expertise in volunteer organizations, the gifts & home decor industry, and arts and cultural programs.
International Experience : Tanzania, Bulgaria, Jordan, Ghana, Senegal, Uganda, Nigeria, Paraguay, Zimbabwe, Kenya, South Africa, Hungary and the Dominican Republic
Kristin Lobron's goal is to continue to write winning grants for non-profits working in Africa and to further develop academic writing skills in Africa civil society, economic development, and literature/ arts.
Ms. Lobron is volunteering her time with WCDP in order to help with grant writing and organizational development.
Dr. Jill Humphries
Originally from Los Angeles, California, Dr. Humphries always had a deep-rooted interest in how groups of people interpreted their world and organized themselves on all levels. She has over twenty years of experience in Africa-related work, with a particular focus on indigenous spiritual healing systems, identity, gender, and the sexuality of afro-descendent people. .
These various and multi-faceted interests led Dr. Humphries to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology, a Masters in Public Health from the University California, Los Angeles and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Public Administration from the University Southern California. Dr. Humphries primary research focused on black ethnicity and transnational identity formation and its effect on the political and racial terrain in the United States. She has also participated in certificate programs in Gender Studies (Makerere University, Kampala Uganda), Eco-Tourism Planning and Management (Humboldt State University) and Community Emergency Response Team (Office of Emergency Management, NYC).
After completing her undergraduate degree, she was trained as a global social activist by the United Methodist Church and sent to Zimbabwe to teach at a secondary school and to document South African aggression on neighboring countries. She then returned to the United States to educate students and the Los Angeles community on the effects of U.S. foreign policy on African countries. She also organized expedition teams with the goal of providing health care services in the rural communities of Southern Africa and served as a legislative lobbyist for social change and policy reform.
Dr. Humphries new research agenda explores eco-tourism and global shamanism. Dr. Humphries is an accomplished photo-videographer and recently added public talk show radio host to her growing list of talents.
Dr. Humphries is contributing her time and experience to WCDP to provide organizational development and assistance with the development of a volunteerism program
Drew Giddings
Mr. Giddings serves as Executive Director for ACT for Children and the Principal for The Giddings Group, both of which provide organizational development and guidance. He has a strong interest in WCDP and the work we do in Uganda and has volunteered his time and extensive experience to help build this organization.
